DEADLY IMPACT? THESE COUNTRIES ARE IN THE STRIKE ZONE OF ‘CITY KILLER’ ASTEROID YR4

News
Image Source: Economic Times By Ali Elias  Assessing the Threat: What Are the Odds? Scientists have reevaluated the likelihood of asteroid 2024 YR4 colliding with Earth, reducing the probability to one in forty-three—or just over two percent. When first discovered, YR4 immediately topped NASA’s impact risk list. Further calculations have only reinforced the asteroid’s potential danger.  How Big Is It and What Could It Do? Astronomers estimate the asteroid’s size to be between 40 and 100 meters wide. If it were to hit Earth, the impact would create a crater the size of a city and release energy greater than a hundred nuclear bombs. In a show of defiance, lawmakers forced their way into the chamber at around 12:30 PM, backed by an outpouring of su...

Alhaji Shehu Shagari was in power as elected civilian president.  The belief was widespread that the fire was the handiwork of “senior officials in the building (who) had been under inves...
