By Rareview ABUJA — The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has suspended prominent constitutional lawyer Chief Mike Ozekhome from the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), pending the determination of disciplinary proceedings against him, a decision that has sparked debate within legal circles over the balance between professional accountability and the constitutional presumption of innocence. The suspension was announced on Wednesday in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the LPPC, Mr Kabir Akanbi.
