The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development by donating mobility equipment to the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Bayelsa State Chapter.
The symbolic handover ceremony was held at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Representing the Board was Esueme Dan Kikile, the General Manager of Corporate Communications and Zonal Coordination, who was accompanied by other senior staff of the Board.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, the NCDMB announced:
“The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) handed over mobility equipment to the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Bayelsa State Chapter at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.”
According to the Board, the donation reflects its social responsibility agenda, which aims to foster inclusivity, reduce inequalities, and promote economic empowerment for all segments of society, particularly the often-neglected community of persons living with disabilities.
The NCDMB emphasized that supporting persons with disabilities goes beyond symbolic gestures and forms part of its broader mandate to develop sustainable local content policies that benefit every Nigerian, regardless of physical limitations.
Receiving the mobility aids on behalf of the association, representatives of JONAPWD Bayelsa Chapter expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would ease the challenges faced by many of their members in accessing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
The event reinforces the NCDMB’s community engagement strategy, which continues to focus on impactful, people-oriented projects in its host state and across Nigeria.
By prioritizing accessibility and dignity for persons with disabilities, the Board is setting an example of inclusive governance and demonstrating that national development must carry everyone along, leaving no one behind.
