Incredible! Sweden has become the first country in the world to officially announce sex as a sport. The maiden of the championship is billed to take place in Gothenburg, on June 8; and would be the first-ever European championship in history.
The Swedish Sex Federation (SSF), organizers of the championship, says the competition will go on for six weeks. The contestants are expected to engage in sexual activities 16 areas, including penetration, oral sex, and so on.
Those participating in the competition would engage themselves in sexual activities from 45 minutes to 1 hour with their partner or matches. The duration will, however, vary depending on their partner, but the competition can extend to as long as 6 hours a day.
Across the 16 disciplines or areas the Judges will take decision in their performance in oral sex, penetration, seduction, endurance, number of orgasms, chemistry and communication between the couple, knowledge about sex, appearance, and so on. Participants can score between five and 10 points in these aspects of the competition.
Contestants are expected to be knowledgeable in Sanskrit scripture on sex and eroticism, Kamasutra; and this will earn them extra points.
This maiden edition of the championship is billed to witness the participation of 20 contestants from various countries, according to initial registrations. Winners will be decided by a panel of three judges and audience ratings.
The organizers stressed the strategic importance of sexual orientation during the competition. They are also of the hope that in the future other European countries would key into the competition.
“The incorporation of sexual orientation as a part of sporting tactics will be a groundbreaking development among European countries,” the organizers said.
The chairman of the Swedish Federation of Sex, Dragan Bratych, said, according to TheTimes of India, that recognition of sex as a sport was inevitable. He highlighted the potential for physical and mental well-being through sexual activity and the importance of training for it.
“Just like any other sport, achieving desired results in sex requires training. Therefore, it is only logical for people to start competing in this domain as well.”
