The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) says the ongoing nationwide strike will continue despite the agreement signed with the Federal Government on Monday.
In a post on X the Congress said the nationwide action will continue until their organs meet on Tuesday (Today) to review the resolutions reached with the Federal government.
“Until we hear from our organs at our meeting scheduled for today, June 4, we are still on strike
Rareview News Report had earlier reported that the Federal government and the Labor leaders had met in a meeting that lasted over 6 hours on the Nationwide strike which has crippled the countries economy. At the end of the meeting they had come to some agreements following Federal government’s shifting of ground that it would be willing to go beyond a minimum wage ₦60,000 which they had earlier insisted on.
Whether the strike would continue or not beyond Tuesday would now depend on the outcome of the discussion between the Congress and it’s organs.
