The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, FNSE, representated by the General Manager, Corporate Communications/Zonal Coordination NCDMB, Barr. Esueme Dan Kikile, on Monday, May 27, participated in the opening ceremony of the OPTS/NCDMB Marine Accelerator Training Program at Bonny Island, Rivers State.
In his remarks, Engr. Ogbe congratulated the teams that worked with NCDMB and applauded NLNG Ship Management Limited for their professionalism and said NCDMB is ready and willing to partner with Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) and other companies in order to deliver value that would ensure safety and sustainability.
Participants were given a tour of the Simulation facility that will be utilized for the Marine Accelerator Training Program.
The Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), a sub-group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), represents 29 oil and gas companies, both local and foreign, with Oil Prospecting and Mining Licenses in Nigeria. It is dedicated to the sustainable exploration, development, and production of Nigeria’s oil and gas resources, OPTS members operate about 85% of the industry in collaboration with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and other leaseholders. OPTS offers two membership categories: Associate and Producing.
