NLNG SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON LPG SUPPLY TO NIGERIAN MARKET!

Contrary to recent reports, Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has stepped forward to debunk claims suggesting it supplies a staggering 1.5 million metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to the Nigerian domestic market. The truth? NLNG annually delivers nearly 500,000 metric tons of LPG, aligning with its unwavering pledge to allocate 100% of its LPG production to domestic needs, a resolute decision endorsed by its Board of Directors back in 2022.

In a bold move to clarify misconceptions, NLNG revealed its impressive track record, disclosing that in 2023 alone, it distributed 493,000 metric tons of LPG across Nigeria. This follows earlier commendable figures of 498,000 metric tons in 2022 and 399,000 in 2021, showcasing NLNG’s steadfast commitment to catering to 30% of the country’s total LPG demand, currently estimated at a hefty 1.5 million metric tons.

But NLNG’s impact doesn’t end there. Far from it. The company stands firm in its mission to champion increased gas utilization nationwide, advocating for the adoption of clean gas for cooking to combat the health hazards associated with traditional firewood usage.

NLNG isn’t just a player; it’s a game-changer in the LPG sector, fostering the entry of new stakeholders into the value chain and driving investments in critical infrastructure. This visionary approach has not only spurred sectoral growth but also paved the way for the creation of numerous job opportunities and burgeoning businesses across Nigeria.

NLNG is not just supplying gas; it’s fueling a brighter, cleaner future for Nigeria. Stay tuned as NLNG continues to lead the charge towards a more sustainable energy landscape, one gas cylinder at a time!”
