NCDMB Welcomes Tinubu to Bayelsa, Reaffirms Commitment to Local Content Growth

Yenagoa, April 10, 2026. The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has warmly welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his working visit to Bayelsa State, describing his visit as a significant boost to the agency’s mandate of deepening local content and advancing sustainable development in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

In a statement issued to mark the President’s visit, the Board expressed honour at hosting the President in what it described as the “Glory of All Lands,” highlighting Bayelsa’s strategic importance as the host of key national assets, including the Nigerian Content Tower, the NCDMB Power Plant, and the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park Scheme.

The Board noted that the visit underscores a shared commitment between the Federal Government and industry stakeholders to strengthen indigenous participation and build a more resilient energy sector.

“We are honoured to receive His Excellency… This visit reinforces our commitment to deepening local content, empowering communities, and driving sustainable growth in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry,” the statement read.

NCDMB further emphasised that the President’s presence energises its ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for Nigerians within the energy value chain, particularly through capacity development, infrastructure investment, and innovation-driven initiatives.

According to the Board, its projects in Bayelsa State remain central to Nigeria’s local content agenda, serving as hubs for industrial growth, skills development, and enterprise creation.

It added that collaboration between government, industry players, and host communities remains critical to achieving long-term prosperity.

“Together, we are building a stronger, more prosperous nation through indigenous participation and innovation,” the Board stated, reiterating its resolve to sustain programmes that empower communities and enhance national economic growth.
